Why did I choose my major? Hi everyone, in this blog I'm going to talk about my major. Before I decided to study theater acting, I was studying architecture at University of Santiago. However, during my first year of architecture, I started to like the theater more and it felt like it stopped being a hobby. Besides my parents -especially my mom- insisting that I finish my career in architecture first, I didn’t really like it, so I finally decided to take the special admission exam to be able to study acting. It has been a year and now I couldn’t be happier with my decision, and so are my parents. They are so happy to see me happy. Even they love the theater now. I have so many dreams in my major. The first one is to finish my career, then I wanna travel around the world doing theater and movies. But my favorite dream is to make the people dream again.  Who I am? My name is Benjamín Salinas Valenzuela, but everybody calls me Ben.. I'm 20 years old. I was born and raised in Los Angeles in the south of Chile. I only have a younger brother named Renato and my parents´names are Fernando and Mariana. During my whole life I lived with my family in Los Angeles, but in 2022 I moved to Santiago to study theater acting at the University of Chile. Since This moment my life changed I now live with my grandparents, who are called Guilda and Roberto.  My mom is a teacher of a school in Los Angeles and my dad works in something related to security in the construction in Chillan. Both of my parents are currently living together in Los Angeles with my little brother Renato, since he still is a high school student.  Los Angeles is a very small city and it is boring compared to Santiago, where everything is always moving really fast.
