Why did I choose my major?

Hi everyone, in this blog I'm going to talk about my major.

Before I decided to study theater acting, I was studying architecture at University of Santiago. However, during my first year of architecture, I started to like the theater more and it felt like it stopped being a hobby. Besides my parents -especially my mom- insisting that I finish my career in architecture first, I didn’t really like it, so I finally decided to take the special admission exam to be able to study acting. It has been a year and now I couldn’t be happier with my decision, and so are my parents. They are so happy to see me happy. Even they love the theater now.

I have so many dreams in my major. The first one is to finish my career, then I wanna travel around the world doing theater and movies. But my favorite dream is to make the people dream again.

When I was a little kid I never thinked about being an actor, I actually wanted to study engineering or medicine. Those were my actual initial career options: architecture and engineering.

I finally decided on theater acting because it makes me happy and I can't imagine myself in another profession.

Until now my experience has been so great overall, especially because of my friends and the moments that we get to share everyday.
